Martha Reed is the mystery and crime fiction author of the Independent Publisher ('IPPY') Book Award-winning John and Sarah Jarad Nantucket Mystery Series. Her latest mystery, LOVE POWER is set in the magically spellbinding city of New Orleans and features Gigi Pascoe, a transgender sleuth.
Her short stories and articles have appeared in Pearl, Suspense Magazine, Spinetingler, Mystery Readers Journal, Mysterical-e, and in LUCKY CHARMS - 12 Crime Tales, an anthology published by the Mary Roberts Rinehart Pittsburgh chapter of Sisters in Crime. Her short story, "The Honor Thief" will be included in the 2021 Bouchercon anthology, "This Time for Sure," edited by Hank Phillippi-Ryan.
Martha adores traveling with her friends, big jewelry, California wine country, and simply great coffee, and she delights in the ongoing antics of her fans, family, and friends who she lovingly calls 'The Mutinous Crew.'
She's an active member of the Florida Gulf Coast and the Guppy chapters of Sisters in Crime, Inc., and she fully supports SinC's mission statement: 'to promote the ongoing advancement, recognition, and professional development of women crime writers.'
She's also a member of Mystery Writers of America (MWA), a monthly contributor to the revered Writers Who Kill blog and, in a moment of great folly at Bouchercon 2016, she joined the New Orleans Bourbon Society (N.O.B.S.)
