Martha Reed is a multi-award-winning mystery and crime fiction author.
Her short story, THE HONOR THIEF was selected for the 2022 Anthony Award-winning Bouchercon 2021 anthology, "This Time for Sure," edited by Hank Phillippi Ryan. Other short stories and articles have appeared in Pearl, Suspense Magazine, Spinetingler, Mystery Readers Journal, Mysterical-e, and in LUCKY CHARMS - 12 Crime Tales, an anthology published by the Mary Roberts Rinehart Pittsburgh chapter of Sisters in Crime.
Her first Crescent City NOLA Mystery, LOVE POWER was a 2021 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Best Attending Author Award winner as well as a Silver Falchion Finalist in the Best Mystery category.
Her John and Sarah Jarad Nantucket Mystery series garnered an Independent Publisher (IPPY) Book Award for Mid-Atlantic Best Regional Fiction.
Martha adores traveling, big jewelry, California wine country, and simply great coffee. She delights in the ongoing antics of her family, fans, and friends who she lovingly calls "The Mutinous Crew."
She is the immediate past president of the Florida Gulf Coast Sisters in Crime and an active member of SinC's online Guppy chapter. She is a co-editor for "Paradise is Deadly," the chapter's initial anthology to be published mid-2023. She fully supports SinC's mission statement: "to promote the ongoing advancement, recognition, and professional development of women crime writers."
Martha is also a member of Mystery Writers of America (MWA), a monthly contributor to the revered Writers Who Kill blog and in a moment of great personal folly at Bouchercon 2016, she joined the New Orleans Bourbon Society (N.O.B.S.)
